ofWifi is about putting Wifi in Public spaces. Private spaces like
residences, whether single or multi-unit are better served by other
technologies. Michael is correct that 1 DSL/Cable link won't support 230
units. I would think that 1 link for every 10-12 units would be as far as
you could push it (20 links or so). Large bandwidths have turned the web
into a content rich extravaganza where every 2nd site uses Flash so
bandwidth expectations by website developers are high.
Also, you WILL have to have some sort of abuse control mechanism (bandwidth
or rate limiting) in place to prevent the abusers from degrading the
experience too much for other users.
